BIOGRAPHY OF JOHN DALTON

John Dalton was born November 6, 1957, in Bowling Green, KY. He was born again on March 16, 1975. He was saved after reading the Gospel tract “What Must I Do to be Saved?” by Evangelist John R. Rice. John married Jamie Nyberg of Erlanger, KY, on August 16, 1980. They had six children and presently have seven grandchildren.

In 1976 John graduated from Butler County High School in Morgantown, KY. He attended Liberty Baptist College (now University) from 1977 to 1979, and later finished his B.A. through Louisiana Baptist University and then in 1998 he graduated from Crown College in Powell, TN with a M.M.

John worked with the youth department at Victory Baptist Church, Bowling Green, KY,
for six years. Then he worked with the singles ministry at Grace Baptist Church, Bowling Green, KY, for another six years: he was ordained into the ministry on February of 1992 under Pastor Marvin Carson.

He was the pastor of Campbellsville Baptist Temple for approximately four years. While attending Crown College he was Pastor at New Testament Baptist Church. During 1998 through 2000 he worked at Shenandoah Baptist Church and worked with the boys ranch under Pastor Steve Grubbs. He helped start Shenandoah Baptist Academy by fulfilling the roles of principal and administrator.

In 2000, God led John to start Gateway Baptist Church in Clarksville, TN.
